Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual who is eager to develop their career in accounting. The role offers a competitive starting salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000, based on experience, with potential salary increases upon successful completion of ACCA or CIMA qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and authorize long-term rental invoices using Coupa.
  • Address supplier inquiries regarding invoices.
  • Report any issues to management.
  • Maintain comprehensive long-term lease registers.
  • Allocate monthly long-term rental expenses to the appropriate business units.
  • Adhere to strict month-end deadlines.
  • Update lease reconciliations on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Group.
  • Ensure that all costs related to new long-term agreements are fully recovered by the business.
  • Provide support to the business by responding to queries from Financial Business Partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts related to leases at month-end and process journal accruals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the automation of workflows.
  • Support senior management with monthly and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Highlight any significant errors or risks to management.
  • Reconcile accounts payable standing orders for long-term lease suppliers.
  • Gain valuable experience by utilizing various IT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of AAT or an equivalent qualification, with current studies or plans to begin ACCA (at applied skills level or higher) or CIMA (at management level or higher).
  • Knowledge of IFRS16 is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, as interaction with various stakeholders is frequent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in accounts payable is preferred.
  • A willingness to learn and advance within the role and department.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
