Job Summary:

The SHEQ Officer will provide support to the Panel Sector Director, the Actemium UK Head of SHEQ, and Business Unit General Managers to ensure the effective application of Company SHEQ requirements across assigned Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, comply with, and facilitate the continuous improvement of the Actemium UK Limited Management System within the Panel Sector.
  • Support the Panel Sector with Carbon footprint reduction plans and advise on Environmental and Sustainability queries as needed.
  • Advise and support Business Unit General Managers and operational staff by providing and interpreting SHEQ legislation, regulations, and practices to ensure operational relevance.
  • Ensure the Company meets all its reporting obligations with respect to Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
  • Support the Actemium UK Head of SHEQ to maintain the Company ISO accreditations, certifications, and memberships.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the SHEQ community within Actemium UK by working collaboratively with the Actemium UK Head of SHEQ and SHEQ Managers in other Sectors within the company.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate, Technical membership to IOSH, or equivalent, and a current and ongoing commitment to maintaining CPD.
  • Relevant Environmental Qualification and membership if a recognized environmental body, i.e., IEMA, desirable.
  • Relevant Quality Qualification and membership of a recognized quality body, i.e., CQI, desirable.
  • Electrical related qualifications desirable.
  • A valid UK driver's license is required for travel amongst Business units in the South West of England and South Wales.
