Role Overview
In the capacity of Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role within our pre-construction team, providing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and residential developments. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders, utilizing advanced estimating software to create comprehensive cost plans and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise and detailed estimates using contemporary estimating software.
- Evaluate mechanical quotations both technically and commercially upon receipt.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams throughout the tender and project planning phases.
- Engage in design development to assess feasibility, materials, innovation, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare technically sound estimates for Mechanical Engineering tasks based on drawings and specifications.
- Provide early-stage pricing during the tender process to facilitate cost-effective solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £95,000 depending on experience.
- 22 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays.

Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Mechanical Estimator with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role with a competing contractor.
- Expertise in Trimble software for estimating purposes.
- Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting technical documents and drawings.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
