About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point, providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities in a supported living service in Lupset, Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Support with daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, and personal care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Manual handling skills and ability to lift and move individuals as required.
  • Basic knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs.
