The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport compliance, with experience in managing a mixed fleet of vehicles, including HGVs, truck loader cranes, and waste management tankers. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our fleet, as well as maintaining relationships with our suppliers and haulage partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain a mixed fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
  2. Liaise with depots and suppliers to ensure vehicles are maintained in line with Operator Licence undertakings and supplier agreements.
  3. Complete weekly compliance and KPI reports, highlighting performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  4. Take charge of day-to-day planning and management of the region, ensuring operational impact is minimized.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and haulage partners, ensuring a high level of service and compliance.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in a similar Transport Compliance Manager role, with a strong background in transport compliance.
  2. Up-to-date Transport Manager CPC qualification.
  3. Experience of UK and EU legislation in all aspects of fleet and driver management and compliance.
  4. Preferably experience of managing a diverse fleet, including HGVs, truck loader cranes, and waste tankers.
  5. Possess influencing skills, a commitment to compliance, and a customer-focused mindset with business acumen.
