Job Title: Adult Social Care Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Adult Social Care Worker to join our team at a dedicated respite care facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals who need temporary relief from their usual caregiving responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  2. Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  3. Provide companionship and emotional support
  4. Assist with mobility and transfers
  5. Monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of service users
  6. Perform light housekeeping duties as required
  7. Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  8. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid if necessary

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a similar care role is preferred but not essential
  2. A compassionate and empathetic nature
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Flexibility to work 2 nights a week with negotiable start times, typically around 5 PM to 11 AM
  6. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

  2. Additional £80 for hours worked between 11 PM - 7 AM
