About Kinetica UK Ltd:

We are a leading company in the scientific instrumentation industry, seeking an experienced Product Development/Design Engineer to join our NPD department in the Southeast London/Kent region.

Job Summary:

This is a varied role that encompasses product design, prototype building, and testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing pressurised interfaces for scientific instruments/equipment to ASMR design standards and pressure directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products in collaboration with internal departments, ensuring that existing product designs are updated according to change requests, specifications, and quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an awareness of the latest manufacturing and engineering techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve product design and development.
  • Lead the design and testing of new products, ensuring that they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products are designed and developed to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Ensure that all products are designed and developed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks or proven adaptability if not.
  • Hands-on experience designing and testing pressurised or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to travel within the UK or abroad as needed.
  • Ability to work onsite full time.
  • Project management experience.
