Role Overview

The 'Talent Acquisition Specialist - Security' will play a crucial role in attracting skilled candidates for various security roles. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to comprehend their recruitment needs and provide expert guidance on managing an efficient hiring process. Your support will vary depending on the role type, encompassing resourcing advice, training for hiring managers, and hands-on assistance with recruitment activities such as CV screening, shortlisting, interview scheduling, offer management, and negotiation.

A significant focus will be placed on minimizing agency expenditure across contracts. Therefore, you will ensure that hiring managers adhere to the appropriate agency booking procedures and work collaboratively to reduce agency costs wherever feasible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Resourcing Manager to implement the divisional talent attraction strategy.
  • Source candidates through platforms like LinkedIn and job boards.
  • Conduct CV shortlisting and distribution.
  • Facilitate interview scheduling and provide support.
  • Participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Establish partnerships with social value employment partners to develop effective resourcing strategies that benefit local communities.
  • Work with hiring managers to identify existing resourcing challenges and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agency suppliers, ensuring clear guidelines for engagement.
  • Assist hiring managers with premium advertising campaigns to enhance application numbers when appropriate.
  • Support the design and implementation of a new 'Application Tracking System' and 'Vendor Management System' across the UK group.
  • Drive culture change and manage change initiatives.
  • Manage the talent pipeline alongside the Resourcing Manager, including internal transitions and external hires as needed.
  • Plan and execute responsibilities in a resource-efficient manner, recognizing the shared responsibility of minimizing environmental impacts.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in resourcing, preferably within the security sector or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of resourcing practices, including talent attraction, offer negotiation, and managing high-volume recruitment campaigns.
  • Strong networking and influencing abilities.
  • Capacity to partner with various central support departments and effectively manage competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present information clearly and confidently at various organizational levels.
  • Understanding of service delivery to both internal and external clients.
  • Proficient in inspiring resourcing performance in multi-site operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with other internal IT systems.
