About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Assistant Manager to join our Private Client Services team in Guildford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing full UK tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of regional, London, and internationally based clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tax compliance and advisory services, with a focus on advisory work for HNWIs and families, entrepreneurs, OMBs, private equity, trusts, and varied asset bases.
  • Take full responsibility for project delivery on client portfolios, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities, to the Partner/Director/Manager group, exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
  • Provide overall support to Partners/Directors and Managers on client matters, assisting in the management of the group, including recruitment and staff management.
  • Assist the management team in providing support to the rest of the Tax team.
  • Provide training to more junior staff, both on the job and through monitoring exam and on-the-job performance, while consistently providing feedback.
Requirements
  • Strong technical ability in the field of private client tax.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
