We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Simulation Engineer to join our team at Innova Solutions International. This is a twelve-month contract role that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and advance your career in the field of power systems simulation.
About the Role
As a Power Systems Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and validating 0D and 1D engine and hybrid power system models. You will work with our team to integrate, evaluate, and optimize novel engine and hybrid components and subsystems. Your expertise will be essential in proposing, researching, developing, implementing, and testing new sub-models for improved prediction of engine performance and emissions from 1D simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and validate 0D and 1D engine and hybrid power system models
- Integrate, evaluate, and optimize novel engine and hybrid components and subsystems
- Propose, research, develop, implement, and test new sub-models for improved prediction of engine performance and emissions
- Report simulation results and make recommendations to improve engine performance or resolve power system performance issues
- Collaborate with universities to advance predictive capability of simulation tools for engines and hybrid power systems
Requirements
- Minimum of a master's degree in automotive, engines, hybrid vehicles, combustion, or thermodynamics
- Proficiency in C or C++, Python programming languages
- Experience with 0D / 1D Engine System Simulation and 0D / 1D Hybrid Vehicle System Simulation
- Knowledge of GT Power, GT Suite, AVL Boost, AVL Cruise, and Ricardo Wave software
