Job Summary:

NATS is seeking a skilled engineer to join our team at Farnborough Airport. As an Air Traffic Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining operational safety and ensuring compliance with strict aviation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational checks of key Air Traffic Control systems.
  • Manage and execute scheduled servicing, planned & preventative maintenance.
  • Fault finding, modification and unscheduled maintenance and repair of systems and services.
  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide on the job training for other engineers within scope of competency.
  • Liaise with local Air Traffic Controllers and the Airport Operator to swiftly resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification to Higher National Certificate (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent.
  • A background in Aviation is advantageous, but also willing to consider those from Military, transport & infrastructure, or other safety critical industry experience.
  • A full UK Driving Licence is required for Airside driving when required.
  • Flexible approach and attitude and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Willing to be a Team player and support others where required.

Working Arrangements:

Working hours are a rotational shift pattern Monday to Friday within the hours of 06:30 - 19:00 with the requirement to be On-Call 1 in 3 weeks.
