Category Manager

As a Category Manager at Investigo, you will play a key role in implementing a defined strategy to drive business growth and improve efficiency. This is a newly created role that requires a strong understanding of the waste category and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term strategic category plans to achieve savings targets, improve quality and service levels, and meet business objectives.
- Manage ongoing supplier relationships at a senior level, establishing and maintaining strategic relationships to maximize efficiencies and value.
- Track commodity pricing information, market vs contractual position, and use data to support commercial and business objectives.
- Develop and implement clear commodity management strategies to identify and mitigate risk.
- Work closely with senior business stakeholders to fully understand business needs and support the development of procurement strategies.
- Support and coach less experienced members of the team as appropriate and deputise for the Head of Procurement where necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with the waste category within procurement.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
