We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team at the Avonmouth Bristol bakery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, engineering standards, and risk assessments to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements and legislative standards within the bakery.
- Support Operator Maintainers in identifying and rectifying faults, and conduct 2nd line fault finding on plant upsets and equipment malfunctions.
- Undertake corrective maintenance and bench overhaul activities as required, and review and validate autonomous maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and training to Operator Maintainers on all aspects of maintenance, and initiate dynamic risk assessments.
- Participate in planned preventative maintenance activities and line overhauls, and record stop information to assist loss deployment groups and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure consumable spares and suitable lubricants are available to Operator Maintainer teams, and define and standardize optimum changeover processes.
- Recognized time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with HNC/HND.
- Demonstrable experience of maintenance within an automated FMCG/bakery environment.
- Successfully undertaken a skills conversion program.
- Experience of working in a bakery.
- Basic food hygiene qualification.
- Gas training.
- 17th Edition Electrical regulations.
- Risk Assessment & Method Statement training.
