Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at CTS Recruitment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the upkeep and operational efficiency of our facilities within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Management: Ensure the safety and security of the premises by being a registered key holder. Responsibilities include opening and closing buildings, setting alarms, and addressing out-of-hours concerns as necessary.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine repairs, maintenance, and redecoration tasks to enhance the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the buildings.
  • Safety Inspections: Assist in conducting internal and external safety tests and inspections, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately. This includes fire alarm tests, water temperature checks, and visual inspections for asbestos.
  • Contractor Coordination: Support various contractors working outside of regular hours and communicate with them during emergency situations.
  • Monitoring Duties: Oversee the use of the car park and external areas, addressing any concerns that arise during your duties.
  • Maintenance Management: Execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks in accordance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance System and help desk requests.
  • Inventory Management: Order necessary spare parts and equipment to facilitate estate service activities using available IT and digital tools.
  • Training and Development: Participate in team meetings and engage in internal/external training relevant to the role, including First Aid, fire safety, and technical knowledge. Attend Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions and toolbox talks as required.

Requirements: A clean driving license is essential, as travel to various sites for maintenance work will be necessary.
