Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a commercial site in Stansted.

The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical and electrical services, fault finding and repairs to standard installations in small offices up to large commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out scheduled PPM and reactive maintenance tasks to maintain site assets and ensure equipment availability.
  • Ensuring routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Responding to Building Management System alarms and effecting emergency repairs as needed.
  • Issuing and ensuring appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • Maintaining Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • Ensuring suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Keeping comprehensive maintenance records in the form of task sheets.
  • Preparing and adhering to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  • Supervising engineering subcontractors and ensuring they comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks such as unblocking toilets, changing door handles and door closures, and general water tasks.
  • Assisting with sub-contractor attendance and completing paperwork.
  • Conducting weekly fire alarm tests and general maintenance of the building.
  • Replacing AHU filters, cleaning coils and chambers, and testing emergency lights.
  • Performing generator monthly testing.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Electrical Qualifications, including Level 3 City & Guilds and 18th Edition.
  • A DBS check.
