Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at our 44-bedded Residential Care Home in Chessington.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day care for residents, delegating roles to nursing and care staff as appropriate.
- Offer clinical supervision to Registered Nurses, ensuring they meet the needs of residents.
- Act as a Shift Team Leader, supervising and developing care staff.
- Contribute to the training of care staff, acting as a role model.
- Participate in personal and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor, audit, and review the service, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership.
- Assist the Home Manager with formal supervision and appraisal of staff.
- Implement and adhere to Gold Care's policies and procedures.
- Liaise with maintenance contractors and others involved in property maintenance.
- Promote the service and Gold Care through effective communication.
- Ensure excellent customer care to enhance the lives of people who use our services.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of high-quality, person-centred care and support principles.
- Ability to negotiate and manage a budget.
- Knowledge and use of clinical assessment tools.
- Experience of leading a shift and working in a care home environment.
- Experience of working with individuals with dementia.
