About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to the young person, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the young person, built on trust and understanding.
  • Support the young person in their daily activities, including leisure and educational pursuits.
  • Work collaboratively with the young person's family and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.
  • Monitor and record the young person's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address these.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with young people with ASD and ADHD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle (for travel with the young person).
