Christy Media Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Studio Technical Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our studio facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to studio staff, including camera operators, lighting and sound technicians.
- Operate and maintain studio equipment, including lighting and vision control systems.
- Assist with the planning and execution of studio productions, including setup and strike.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve engineering issues and maintain technical standards.
- Develop and implement procedures for studio operations, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in studio technical operations, with a strong background in lighting and vision technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of lighting desk programming and troubleshooting, including updating cues and altering luminaire attributes.
- Experience with camera channel alignment and operation of Avolites and Cerebrum (audio-visual control systems).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols, including working at height.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced live news environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a broadcast environment.
- Knowledge of studio electrical theory, including single and three-phase supplies.
- Experience with studio electrical systems and maintenance.
