Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team at The AA. As a key member of our roadside rescue team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to resolve a wide range of vehicle issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate Effectively: You will be comfortable sharing your knowledge and information with customers in a clear and concise manner, ensuring they feel safe and informed throughout the repair process.
  • Dedicated Learner: You will be committed to ongoing learning and development, seeking opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and skills, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Self-Starter: You will be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, driving to different locations in various weather conditions.
  • Fixer/Problem Solver: You will be skilled in utilizing your technical expertise to resolve a variety of issues, from minor repairs to more complex recoveries, ensuring customers can get back on the road as quickly as possible.
Requirements
  • NVQ 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: You will hold a recognized qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair, or equivalent experience.
  • Full Category B Driving Licence: You will possess a valid full category B driving licence, with no more than 6 points, and be willing to obtain category BE (towing) if not already held.
  • Shift Work: You will be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays, as required.
