We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Fire Manager to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Compliance, Fire and Health and Safety Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation, planning, and development of our Health, Safety and Fire Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Health, Safety and Fire Team, ensuring compliance with national standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and fire matters to staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and fire policies, procedures, and plans, ensuring effective communication and training throughout the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective health, safety, and fire management across the Trust.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health, safety, and fire matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on health, safety, and fire performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in health, safety, and fire management.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of compliance and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
