We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Accounting Assistant to join our team at Wincanton Logistics on a 14-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. As a key member of our Treasury department, you will be responsible for producing bank account and balance sheet reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

  • Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for account reconciliation and reporting of Receivables Purchase Facility and Supplier Finance.
  • You will also be responsible for account reconciliation and reporting of PL Bank Account and advising on discrepancies.
  • Additional responsibilities include bank administration tasks, preparation of documentation for internal audit, and providing cover for cashiers.
  • You will also be responsible for uploading payroll Chaps files and performing ad-hoc project work as directed by the Treasury Accounting Manager.
  • Other responsibilities include reconciliation of suspense accounts, ICO, and DD Forecasting.

Requirements

  • You will be a trainee accountant working towards or having achieved an AAT qualification.
  • You will be a team player with excellent communication and people skills, and an analytical mindset.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude, with a focus on process development and continuous improvement.
  • You will have basic Excel skills, including working use of formulas, and transactional accounting experience is desirable.
  • Purchase Ledger experience is also advantageous, and knowledge of Oracle is a plus but not necessary as training will be provided.
