Solution Architect IT/OT

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect IT/OT to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that integrate Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Architect Integrated OT Solutions: Utilize technologies like Digital Twins, IoT applications, and Industrial Protocols (OPC UA, MQTT) to create innovative solutions that drive business efficiency and innovation.
- Select and Configure Cloud Services: Choose and configure appropriate Azure or AWS services based on project requirements to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
- Develop and Implement Automation Scripts: Write Python scripts and Virtual Machines to automate tasks and optimize processes, improving overall productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments (Engineering, Operations, OT, IT) to understand business needs and ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals.
- Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in OT/IT convergence and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
- Document Technical Solutions: Clearly and concisely document technical solutions and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.
- Present Technical Findings: Present technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, effectively communicating complex ideas.
- Strong Experience in Solution Architecture: Proven experience in performing a solution architecture role within an engineering, OT, manufacturing, or telecommunications environment.
- Industry 4.0 Technologies: Strong knowledge and application of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, analytics, AR/VR, asset tracking solutions, cyber security, digital twins, digital control towers, etc.
- Complex Project Management: Experience of technically leading complex projects throughout their complete lifecycle from requirements capture to handover and knowledge transfer.
- Business Transformation Projects: Experience in business transformation projects, with a strong understanding of organizational change and process improvement.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with minimum 5+ years of experience in OT and IT environments.
- OT Network Protocols: Strong understanding of Industrial Automation and control systems, with expertise in OT network protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, OPCUA, MQTT).
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
To be successfully appointed to this role, you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
