About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our team at a fantastic nursery in the DE13 area. As a key member of our early years team, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and engaging with children on a 1:1 or group basis. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive learning environment that encourages child development through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the nursery team in delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Assist in the social and emotional development of children, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to encourage children's cognitive, language, and physical development.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage children to be confident and independent.
  • Work closely with the teacher and other staff to assess and monitor children's progress.
  • Ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and caring environment.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare (essential).
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
  • A passion for helping young children thrive and develop in a supportive environment.
