Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Housing Officer to join our Housing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of garages and parking spaces, working proactively and independently to let garages and parking spaces promptly to ensure minimal income loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage garages and parking spaces, ensuring timely lettings and minimizing income loss.
- Work independently to recover debt owed by garage and parking space tenants and repossess garages where necessary.
- Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with council regulations.
- Provide support, guidance, and expert advice to colleagues, councillors, and external agencies.
- Produce reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor team performance.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build effective relationships.
- Understanding of key safeguarding principles and excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle for business use, or willingness to cycle around the city.
