The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic History Graduate to join our team in Lincoln. As a History Educator, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of historical events, cultures, and figures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging and informative history lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Utilize creative teaching methods to make historical events and concepts accessible and exciting for students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional help, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking and discussions about historical events and their significance, promoting a deeper understanding of the past.
  • Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
  • Support teachers in monitoring and assessing students' progress, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning community.
Requirements
  • A degree in History or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in historical knowledge and analysis.
  • A genuine passion for history and education, driving your enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of learners.
  • Ability to make historical events and concepts interesting and relevant to students, sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and support.
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning, staying up-to-date with best practices and educational trends.
