Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging and informative history lessons.
- Use creative teaching methods to make historical events and concepts accessible and exciting.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
- Encourage critical thinking and discussions about historical events and their significance.
- Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
- Support teachers in monitoring and assessing students' progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
Requirements:
- A degree in History or a related field.
- A genuine passion for history and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of learners.
- Ability to make historical events and concepts interesting and relevant to students.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
