Job Title: Graduate Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing structural engineering projects, working closely with our team of experienced engineers and architects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage structural engineering projects, including the creation of detailed designs and specifications.
  • Collaborate with our team of engineers and architects to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including regular communication and project updates.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that projects are being constructed in accordance with our designs.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Use of industry design standards, i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG, SSG etc.
  • Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other JMS offices.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
