Job Title: Personal Assistant - Disability Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a young person with complex needs in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to enable the young person to access opportunities in the community, try new activities, and provide respite for the parents when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to the young person
  • Assist with daily living tasks and activities
  • Support the young person to access community resources and activities
  • Provide respite for the parents when needed
  • Communicate effectively with the family and other professionals involved in the young person's care
Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and has a genuine interest in working with children with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with disabled children and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for the young person.

Training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate has the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the role effectively.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive rate of £13.00 per hour and the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide references.

This is a part-time position, with a minimum of 6 hours per week during term time and up to 14 hours during holiday time.
