We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Day Nursery. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Early Years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to our young children.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and motivate a team of Early Years professionals to deliver high-quality care and education
- Develop and implement effective team management strategies to ensure a positive and productive work environment
- Child Development and Education
- Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating learning experiences that meet the individual needs of each child
- Monitor and assess child development, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to support children's learning and development
- Communication and Partnership Working
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to parents and other stakeholders
- Safeguarding and Child Welfare
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
- Identify and report any concerns or incidents related to child welfare or safety
- Qualifications and Experience
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or similar
- Skills and Knowledge
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislative requirements
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults
