About the Role

Railpen is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Accounting Operations team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the production of Accounting Operations activities, with a specific focus on processes that support the Benefits Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the production of Accounting Operations activities, including transaction processing, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Be accountable for operational tasks, including journal review and approval.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests and ad hoc investigations, supporting our Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams within Finance, mainly Financial Control, as well as with upstream Benefits administration teams.
What You'll Need
  • A strong understanding of accounting operations, including reporting and month-end processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, based in Darlington.
  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification.
