About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Director to lead our community engagement efforts in the UK and other European countries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies that align with our company's values and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies that promote our company's values and goals
  • Manage key aspects of community sponsorships and determine whether sponsorship opportunities meet success criteria in collaboration with key business partners
  • Contribute to AWS infrastructure expansion by facilitating discussions related to community engagement during planning approvals
  • Lead community assessment for new sites in the region, identify potential community-related risks, and develop a community engagement plan to proactively mitigate the risks
  • Partner with HR to build on and develop programs that empower employees to engage with our communities
  • Represent AWS Infrastructure publicly in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Capture data to demonstrate community engagement's quantified and qualified impact on AWS Infrastructure, its employees, and the community, and communicate these values internally and externally
  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, human resources, legal, public policy, and public relations to deliver results

Requirements
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree
  • Experience in CSR, Corporate Affairs, or related domains
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
