Job Title: Director of Assets and Communities

The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Director of Assets and Communities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our community engagement efforts and contribute to the organization's mission of building a strong, diverse, and vibrant community.

Job Summary:

The Director of Assets and Communities will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic programming and outreach initiatives to engage with our community and promote the organization's mission. This includes developing and managing relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders, as well as leading the development of community engagement plans and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic programming and outreach initiatives to engage with the community and promote the organization's mission.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of community engagement plans and strategies, including the creation of program logic models and outcomes-based programming.
  • Collaborate with the community engagement team to develop and implement community outreach initiatives, including events, campaigns, and other activities.
  • Develop and manage budgets for community engagement initiatives, including grant writing and fundraising.
  • Provide leadership and support to the community engagement team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in community engagement and social services, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as social work, community development, or public administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community engagement, program development, and management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful community engagement initiatives and programs.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
