Job Opportunity: Maths and English Tutor

Prospero Teaching Careers is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support the educational development of young people who are not in mainstream education.

About the Role:

  • Ongoing placement, with the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students
  • Hours dependent on the needs of the young person, with a typical commitment of 6 hours per week
  • Competitive hourly rate of GBP25-GBP30, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, 1:1 Maths and English lessons to students who require alternative education
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching Careers to monitor the progress of each student and provide regular feedback
  • Be creative and patient in your approach, with the ability to think outside the box and adapt to the needs of each student

Requirements:

  • Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • QTS desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the relevant authorities
