Hotel Door Person Role

The Goring Hotel, a Forbes 5-star property, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Hotel Door Person. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests from cars and taxis, providing a warm and personalized welcome.
  • Porterage of luggage from car or taxi to the Front Hall, ensuring it is left in a safe and accessible manner.
  • Clean and maintain the front entrance, including brass handrails, door buzzer, and glass doors.
  • Procure taxis for guests and provide valet parking services.
  • Run errands as instructed by the concierge, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Ensure the frontage of the hotel is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Report for duty with the correct uniform and presentable appearance, projecting a positive image to guests and colleagues.
  • Carry out tasks as requested by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • When raining, ensure the wet surface sign is in full view of guests and steps are made as safe as possible.

We're seeking an individual with excellent attention to detail, a passion for providing 5-star standards, and a genuine enthusiasm to learn and develop. You should have impeccable grooming standards, be highly motivated with a positive outlook, and possess a valid UK driving license.
