Job Title: Technical Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Everest People Solutions. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technical department in ensuring food safety, legal compliance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement food safety and quality standards across the site
  • Maintain BRC compliance and ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Organize and lead HACCP meetings and update plans as necessary
  • Audit and verify CCPs and ensure all documentation is accurate
  • Manage and review HACCP prerequisites and ensure they are up to date
  • Oversee pest control in coordination with external providers
  • Regularly review and update operating and cleaning procedures
  • Mentor and develop the technical and quality teams through regular reviews
  • Ensure document control systems are up to date and accessible
  • Keep the management team informed of any new legislation or scientific developments
  • Conduct audits to ensure consistency and product quality

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a technical management role within the food industry
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage both internal and external audits
  • Relevant qualifications: HACCP, Food Safety Level 4, Lead Auditor training
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and compliance in a food production environment
