About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information.
  • Management Accounts: Oversee the preparation of management accounts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of 2 direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with audit and internal control processes, maintaining a high level of financial governance and risk management.
  • Finance Business Partner: Act as a finance business partner to divisional leaders, providing financial guidance and support to drive business growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required, providing insightful recommendations to improve financial performance.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A qualified accountant with 3-5 years of post-qualified experience.
  • Experience: Experience in a finance management role, with a proven track record of working in a commercial organisation.
  • Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, leadership experience, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
