Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at BAE Systems in Barrow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal items for the construction of Astute and Dreadnought class submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal items to meet project requirements
  • Confidently use welding and fabrication equipment on submarines under construction
  • Work with pipe protection, glam plates, and small support systems in bunk spaces
Working Conditions

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will work on a 3 on 4 off shift pattern, with opportunities for overtime. You will be based in Barrow, with the potential for flexibility in your working hours.

  • A travel allowance of £8 per hour for non-local candidates
