Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic Practitioner/Advanced Care Practitioner to join our team at Attleborough Surgeries on a temporary basis to cover a 12-month period of maternity leave.

The successful candidate will work as part of our established team, providing high-quality patient-centered care in a home visiting environment, as well as within the primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and provide advice, care, and management for a diverse range of patients with minor injuries/acute and minor illness.
  • Manage urgent and primary care patients via our online triage system, telephone, or face-to-face, who may have long-term conditions, with diagnosed or undiagnosed undifferentiated illness within the primary care environment.
  • Work autonomously in prioritizing health problems and intervene appropriately to assist patients in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
Requirements
  • Registered Paramedic
  • Experience of working as a senior clinician
  • Accountability of own role and other roles in a practitioner-led service
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • MSc Advanced Practice or equivalent
  • Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Mentor/Teaching qualification
  • Clinical supervision training and experience
  • Experience in leading/managing a team, working in an unscheduled care service, providing care in patients' own homes, and having worked in Primary Care
