Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laborer/Driver to join our team at NOV Inc. in the Machine Shop. As a Laborer/Driver, you will assist workshop personnel with laboring activities, dispatch of finished components, and operate Torque and swaging machines. You will also be responsible for carrying out critical Phosphate surface coating operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 3.5 Tonne truck for deliveries and pickups.
  • Perform Torque operations as required, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Carry out Phosphate coating operations, adhering to company procedures and safety protocols.
  • Report any defects to materials, components, or equipment to the Operations Manager.
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager on customer, project, or other issues.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives and report any issues that arise.
  • Aid machinists in their duties as needed.
  • Deliver and collect materials/components from customer facilities.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
  • Report any defects to company equipment and vehicles.
  • Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policy.
  • Familiarize yourself with department and company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Support other departments and perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driving Licence (essential).
  • Forklift License (desirable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating Torque machinery.
  • Familiarity with Phosphate coating processes.

Skills and Training:

  • Ability to use lifting equipment effectively.
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety practices.
