Head of Finance Transactions Job Description

Axion Moore Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of Finance Transactions to join their team. This is a 12-month contract with the potential to be extended or go permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in delivering improved accounting activities across multiple international subsidiaries, including bank reconciliation, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and commission payments.
  • Support the team on system development, looking for opportunities to optimize and enhance systems, and work closely with the Head of Transformation.
  • Execute month-end closing routines and provide management reporting to the Director of Finance, working closely with the Financial Controller and financial operations for associated GL activities.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are consistently and accurately performed across all bank accounts, and the volume of transactions is reportable and accurately measured.
  • Support the Commissions team to ensure valued customers are serviced appropriately, and payments and queries are made accurately.
  • Support Sales Ledger activity to ensure aged debt position and cash flow is carefully managed in line with Treasury expectations.
  • Support Purchase Ledger activity to ensure the ledger is clean and payments are made in line with policy.
  • Manage year-end audit activities relating to areas of responsibility, ensuring both internal and external timelines are met, and providing regular updates to auditors and senior management.
  • Ensure external regulatory deadlines are met on time and in full.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, compliance requirements, etc. across processes.
