Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mixed primary and secondary SEN school in Darwen. As a member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support to students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Build positive relationships with students and support their engagement and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with the general class teacher to plan and deliver learning activities.
  • Provide meaningful feedback on student attainment and progress.
  • Promote students' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development through the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • No specific qualifications necessary, but a care/support/health background is desirable.
  • Flexible, part-time, and full-time positions available.
  • Options for temp to perm available.
  • PAYE Contract.
  • £12.90+ per hour depending on additional duties and experience.
