About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the site, including offices, corridors, and communal areas.
  • Operate a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
  • Empty bins, dust surfaces, and sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning schedules and deadlines.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. You will have previous cleaning experience and be able to operate a variety of cleaning equipment. You will also have good communication skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues and managers.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate, plus Sunday premium pay. You will also receive 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 days after 5 years' service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme.

Contract Type

This is a permanent part-time contract, working 15 hours per week, Thursday to Saturday. You will work from 10:00 to 15:00, either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site.
