Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join our dynamic team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS. As a key member of our Non-Obstetric US team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ultrasound services to patients across our sites.

Main Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have extensive clinical knowledge of ultrasound scanning techniques and appropriate technology in multiple areas. They will be able to demonstrate experience in an acute clinical setting, such as the NHS, and possess a strong understanding of patient care and safety protocols.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
  • Ability to plan and organize complex activities as part of a multidisciplinary team

Person Specification

  • Essential criteria:
    • Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU), a Post Graduate Diploma (PgD) in Diagnostic Ultrasound from an CASE accredited course in the United Kingdom or equivalent from a associated country e.g. AIU diploma
    • Demonstrate extensive clinical knowledge of ultrasound scanning techniques and appropriate technology in multiple areas
    • Demonstrate experience in an acute clinical setting such as the NHS or equivalent
  • Desirable criteria:
    • Additional postgraduate qualification e.g. MSc
    • Previous experience in research projects/publications
    • Experience of audit
