About the Role

We are seeking a skilled PSV/HGV Technician to join our team at First Bus. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks.
  • Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
  • Conduct vehicle road testing to identify specific defects or issues.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, gearboxes, and braking systems.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working with HGV/PSV vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of £17.46.
  • A 37-hour working week, rotating between 06:00 and 18:00, Monday to Saturday.
