About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PSV/HGV Technician to join our team at First Bus. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults, including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance, including inspections and repairs.
  • Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries, using your expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and manufacturer recommendations.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working with HGV/PSV vehicles, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
