As a Wind Turbine Technician at Full Circle Wind Services, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our wind turbine fleet. Your role involves conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs to ensure the turbines operate at peak efficiency. You will be stationed in the Netherlands, working on a rotational schedule of two weeks on and two weeks off. It is essential that you possess the right to work in the EU without restrictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Diagnostics
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines following established protocols.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or technical challenges affecting turbine functionality.
- Carry out repairs or component replacements as necessary, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and service reports meticulously.
- Engage in special projects, including turbine commissioning, major component replacements, and fleet onboarding.
- Stay informed about industry developments, technological innovations, and best practices in wind turbine operations.
- Client Interaction
- Maintain communication with clients on-site, providing updates regarding turbine status during all service activities.
- Safety & Quality Assurance
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Ensure the quality of all turbine components and recognize the interconnections within the system architecture.
- Be accountable for the safe operation of both electrical and mechanical components within the turbines.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to implement enhancements and optimize turbine performance.
- Focus on improving the efficiency of our wind turbine fleet through analysis of operational data and response times.
- Occasionally assist with tasks related to remote monitoring and control room operations.
- Valid driver's license and unrestricted right to work in the EU.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in wind turbine maintenance is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as they pertain to wind turbines.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions, demonstrating physical fitness.
- Proficient in utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Experience in maintaining or servicing mechanical or electrical systems, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset.
