We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Leader to join our team at Inotiv. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our animal care team, ensuring the highest level of animal welfare and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of animal care technicians to ensure the smooth operation of animal care activities
- Develop and implement animal care protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular animal observations and ensure that all animal care activities are performed in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies to improve animal care and welfare
- Provide training and guidance to animal care technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
- Ensure that all animal care activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner
- Monitor and report on animal care activities to senior management
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in animal care or a related field
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong knowledge of animal care protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
