Sheridan Maine South is pleased to collaborate with a reputable charity organization based in central Bristol, seeking a meticulous and committed Finance Assistant. This part-time position (22.5 hours per week) will encompass a variety of responsibilities, primarily focusing on the management of the Sales Ledger across multiple group entities, including the pursuit of outstanding debts.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:
  • Generating invoices.
  • Establishing new customer accounts in the system and completing supplier registration forms.
  • Conducting various reconciliations.
  • Proactively following up on overdue debts while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely payments.
  • Addressing and resolving queries from both internal and external sources.
  • Requesting refunds for customer overpayments promptly.
  • Setting up customer credit agreements.
  • Assisting the finance team with diverse tasks as necessary, showcasing flexibility and a readiness to support where needed.
The ideal Finance Assistant will possess:
  • Prior experience in a comparable finance role, particularly in sales ledger or credit control.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to build rapport with stakeholders.
