The Teesside University International Study Centre is in search of a proficient Mathematics Educator to enhance the Computing, Engineering, and Science department. In this capacity, you will work collaboratively with fellow educators to ensure the successful execution of instructional programs that align with our pedagogical, learning, and assessment strategies, as well as our overarching objectives for delivering an outstanding student experience. Your role will also encompass direct contributions to student assistance and the integration of innovative teaching methodologies within the Centre. As an educator, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and producing instructional, learning, and assessment resources, facilitating delivery across various Mathematics modules at Foundation (RQF Level 3), Year One Undergraduate (RQF Level 4), and Pre-Masters (RQF Level 6) levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to the design, delivery, and enhancement of modules available across the UKE network. Prepare and conduct teaching lectures, seminars, and tutorial sessions, up to 25 hours per week. Develop and prepare unit examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessments. Evaluate students' formative and summative assessment submissions and provide timely feedback on their performance, including tutorials and regular student reports. Create and update course materials for modules and teaching sessions, including resources for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Collaborate with the Centre's administrative team to plan and implement induction, orientation, and registration programs. Communicate and coordinate with colleagues to ensure all students receive appropriate ongoing welfare and progression support. Monitor students' academic progress and identify and implement suitable intervention strategies to facilitate ongoing learning. Apply quality assurance procedures at module and teaching session levels and contribute to the annual review and monitoring of courses. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' attendance and performance. Attend and participate in standardization, moderation, and other quality assurance meetings as necessary. Engage in regular meetings with teaching and support staff to contribute to the effective overall management of the program and student lifecycle. Participate in the Provider governance structure as required throughout the academic cycle and attend all mandatory team meetings. Maintain and submit accurate and timely records of teaching and other activities. Engage in regular training and development activities and keep a log of these activities. Perform any other duties as assigned by the relevant line manager. QUALIFICATIONS A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Relevant Teaching Qualification. Proficient spoken and written English. Experience in teaching relevant subject modules within the UK Higher or Further education sector and extensive experience working with international students.
