Company Overview:

As a Cyber Security Controls Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate security needs, perform risk evaluations, and assist the engineering team in achieving cyber security compliance for control systems.

You will collaborate with project management, systems engineering, and product development teams to ascertain standards requirements and guarantee adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhancing control software to meet cyber security standards for various platforms.
  • Formulating best practices, procedures, and checklists while implementing security protocols for control systems.
  • Establishing secure network protocols, including SSL/TLS, SSH, and SFTP, for control systems.
  • Conducting ongoing threat assessments and risk analysis to proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Ensuring high-quality software control standards through version control systems.
  • Supporting project delivery by preparing and reviewing technical specifications and providing engineering expertise for control system initiatives.
  • Actively participating in cross-functional activities, including client meetings and project evaluations.
Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in software, controls, or electrical engineering or a related field is required.

Demonstrated experience in implementing cyber security measures within control systems, including risk assessment, system protection, encryption, and compliance with international standards.

Proficient in interpreting customer and cyber security standards to develop compliant solutions.

Strong programming skills in C++ are essential, with C# experience considered advantageous.

Familiarity with software-based control and communication systems, including Modbus and TCP/IP Ethernet, is required.

Knowledge of automation and control system cyber security standards, such as IEC62443, is preferred.

Experience with operating systems like QNX, Linux, and Windows is beneficial.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
